2.    Applicants born overseas must provide a certified copy of their passport and visa.
3.    Full fee paying International students should contact the International Student Division of the Department of Education on 9651 3700 prior to contacting the school.

Enrolment Priorities
As deemed by the Department of Education and endorsed by the Essendon Primary School Council, the enrolment limit at Essendon Primary School will be 475 pupils.
Where there are insufficient places at any year level for students who seek entry, the following priority is used to determine which students will be enrolled:

1.    Essendon Primary school has an obligation to enrol children to which the school is the nearest.  Our priority must be to students for whom Essendon Primary School is the closest school by straight line radius from the school to their permanent residential address or in the neighbourhood zone.
2.     Students with siblings who will be concurrently attending Essendon Primary School;
3.     Children of current Essendon Primary School staff.
4.     Students in order of closeness of their home to Essendon Primary (by straight line radius from the school).

2019 Enrolment Process
Prospective families are welcome to submit an expression of interest to enrol their child at Essendon Primary School for any year level for the 2019 school year. The three Foundation Tours held in April and May were extremely well attended with a significant number of expressions of interest for Foundation in 2019 already received. Unfortunately we are not in a position to be able to offer any further tours this year. We are currently in the process of working through these expressions of interest to identify how many applications received from families within our school neighbourhood and therefore how many places we are able to offer families living outside of our school neighbourhood. It is important to note that adherence to our Enrolment Policy will be strictly followed according to the enrolment priorities.

Foundation Orientation Sessions
2019 Foundation Orientation will take place from 9:30 to 11:00am on 4 Friday mornings commencing Friday 16th November. (16th, 23rd and 30th November and 7th December).  After the successful transition of students over the previous 3 years, we have decided to again have all year levels step up to their new year level during this time.  This will allow us the opportunity to explore different groupings of students, seek feedback from teachers, students and parents and collect student-learning information in preparation for a smooth transition in 2019.  In the meantime, year 6 students will be able to work on their own transition program in preparation for secondary school.  Our final transition day when students will meet as a 2019 cohort with their 2019 teachers in their designated learning space will be Tuesday 11th December when the year 6 students have their Secondary Orientation.
